DNA-info.ca is an information website designed to educate police officers about the collection of DNA for forensic purposes. The site was modelled after the UK Government's website, with an emphasis on simplicity and usability. It features a gallery, a contact form, a search function and a table of contents to navigate the content easily. The site is also mobile friendly and accessible.

DNA-info uses a custom WordPress theme created using Underscores as a base. It features custom fields to organize the plethora of information that our client wanted to display on the site. WordPress was chosen as the CMS as it was user friendly and it allowed our client to continue addinng content to the site even after the project was completed. We even had tutorials to help our client learn to use the website.

Process

At first, the amount of information overwhelmed us. This was an information-heavy project but after organizing the information using an efficient information architecture, the process became much easier.
